Obituary of H. Stanley Botterill

Peacefully, at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Sunday, January 10, 2021, Herbert Stanley Botterill, age 92, of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Mary Jane (Ritchie) Botterill (2016).   Born in Chatham, son of the late Margaret (Kimmerley) and Stanley Botterill. 

He will be sadly missed by his children, Stan (Susan) Botterill, Jean Botterill, Bill Botterill, Annette Brown (Kevin Stoneman), and Michael Botterill, 18 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.   Also missed by his son in law Dale Ramboer, sister Edna Bushey, brother-in-law Andy Smith and many nieces and nephews.  Stan will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Predeceased by his daughters, Carol Garnett, Julie Ramboer, and Cheryl Reynolds, 2 sisters, Louise Smith, Margaret (Jerry) Mier, and brother Robert Botterill.  

Stan was a sports enthusiast (referee and umpire) who also enjoyed many years of hunting and fishing with his friends. He retired from International Harvester in Chatham and was a past member of the Moose Lodge.

Cremation has taken place and a Private Graveside Service will be held.
