On Easter Sunday April 4, 2021 Chiara "Claire" Elizabeth Meriano, age 72, of Chatham, passed away suddenly at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus. Claire was the beloved wife of Michele "Mike" Meriano. Born in Castelvetere Sul Calore, Italy in 1948, daughter of the late Ida (Gallo) and Vittorio Mastromarino. 

Loving mother of Joseph (Jennifer Morrison) Meriano and Jennifer Meriano. Cherished nonna of Aidan and Michael. Dear sister of Gerva (Guy) Shields and Sonya (Piero) Mastromarino. Also sadly missed by her brother-in-law Tony Meriano (late Gina) and by her many nieces and nephews. 

The family will pay their respects to her beautiful soul at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham where a private family visitation will be held.

A private mass will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church.

Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.

Donations to the Chatham Food Bank or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
