Obituary of Leonard Joseph Eagen

Peacefully, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, on Saturday, March 16, 2019, Leonard Joseph Eagen, age 93, of Chatham Kent, beloved husband of the late Yvonne Marie Eagen (2013).

Born in Raleigh Township, son of the late Mabel and Martin Eagen.

Loving father of Carol Whitely (Rick) of West Guilford, Wendy Whittal (Lloyd) of Wallaceburg, Darlene Eagen (Steve Brock) of Chatham, Brad Eagen (Donna) of North Buxton and Brett Eagen (Kelly) of Chatham.  Lovingly remembered by 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Dear friend of Bernice McEachren. 

 Predeceased by all his brothers and sisters and a daughter Nancy Eagen.

 Len was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish for over 60 years serving as an usher and was a member of the 4 th degree Knights of Columbus. 

Friends and relatives may visit at Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham (519-352-5120) on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm, where Vigil Prayers will be offered at 3pm.  4 th degree Knights of Columbus prayers at 7 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 10 am in St. Joseph’s Church.

 Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.

Donations to the Chatham Kent Women’s Shelter (Nancy’s Place) would be appreciated by the family.
